Adobe included 32-bit code in the 64-bit installer. Suggesting to avoid MacOS is a cop out. Designers like myself have invested £000s, $000s in Adobe software over the years, and we have invested £000s, $000s in hardware. (Catalina rejects old apps, even the 64 bit ones; the 64 bit rule is just part of the story). Adobe and Apple only move forward even when your clients and collaborators don’t want to. This is a problem. You can try these optionsGet an old Mac insteadget an old Mac too. Run a virtual machine, like with Parallels desktop. Be sure to get and keep old installers for both macOS and Indesign whenever you can, they are hard or impossible to get later. The only problem is that it's not licensed through Creative Cloud, and therefore stops working when the trial period is over.So there doesn't seem to be a problem with the actual InDesign CC2018 and Catalina, just the licensing.I have the exact same problem as the thread starter, with the only difference that I already got a new 2019 MBP that won't run Mojave.
