Changing Lock Screen on P20 using Nova Launcher? Thread starter Thread starter caninesapien Start date Start date Oct 30, 2018 You are using an out of date browser. It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. #1 Hi all. I'm brand new to Android as of a couple of weeks ago. I've been playing around with Nova Launcher and I have my home screen, dock etc just how I like it, but wondered if I'm missing something when trying to customise my homescreen? I'd ideally like to add widgets/change the stock clock widget, but is this even possible? Will I need something in addition to Nova? Thanks! #2 Do you mean the lock screen? If so, Nova, or any other custom launcher, can't change anything in there. Custom launchers can only control the home screens and the app drawer. Sorry. nlm Well-known member #3 The only other option is to install a 3rd party Always On Display app that overlays information on top of the lockscreen. But you will have to swipe twice, once to dismiss the app, second to dismiss the lockscreen, to get to the homepage. #4 It's perfectly possible. Just download the clock widget you'd like to use. Once installed, long press on your homescreen and press widgets, then select your new clock widget you installed. There will probably be an app that came with the widget in your app drawer. You can customise the widget in there. #5 Oops, just noticed my typo in my original post - yes, I meant lock screen! InControl Account is associated with your profile. When you create a new profile, the system will launch a start-up wizard guiding you through a number of key steps which will allow you to create a new profile and link it to your InControl Account, quickly and easily. In the app drawer, press the ‘Connect Accounts’ icon and search for the app you want to connect. You can either scan the QR code with your smartphone or select ‘Email Me’ to send a link of the login site to your email. Once this has been done your vehicle will receive a notification from the cloud and confirm the accounts are now linked. You can immediately start using the service in your vehicle, linked services will appear as an icon in the app drawer. Why does my content not play all the time? Content availability is dependent on network strength as it is being streamed online. Please ensure that you have a good network connection. How do I configure/edit the homescreen? Swipe across the tiles of the homescreen, either left or right, beyond the available number of tiles. This will reveal an edit button which will open an edit screen. Here you can add/delete or re-order the tiles. To reorder tiles, you may need to first delete a tile and then add it again in to a new slot. Can I change the layout of the homescreen? In addition to adding/deleting and reordering tiles, there are two layout options available. The default layout

Get vehicle OBD engine information as a widget on your home screen! This is an add-on for Torque Pro, the OBD2 car app for monitoring your vehicle engine management data. You can find Torque on the Android MarketIt lets you display the various dials and widgets from the app on your android homescreen! Monitor all the standard OBD2 sensors as you can in the app such as coolant, RPM/Revs, Transmission temperature*, knock retard*, MPG, HP and Torque! For example, you could have a trip fuel cost widget displayed on your homescreen, showing your total trips fuel cost (perfect for when your kids are using dads taxi!)There is an on / off toggle widget that you can also add which will pause the homescreen widget updates and to control the startup of Torque itself. Turn the widget off, Torque will shutdown, turn the widget on and Torque will start up automatically. This widget needs the Torque OBD app, and will automatically start Torque to run in the background as a service (the app has been optimised to be very power efficient). It will then automatically connect to your vehicle when you start a journey and start showing information! Supports phones, tablets, and tablets running honeycombPlease note: Using launchers like ADWLauncher/TouchWiz may result in slow updates of the widget, the developers of those launchers will need to fix their code so it can update the widget faster. Works fast with the default launcher that comes with Android* = capability dependant on vehicle.

I finally figured out how to fix Chrome not adding shortcuts to the homescreen. Thread starter Thread starter KillerQ Start date Start date Nov 25, 2019 You are using an out of date browser. It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. #1 I have mentioned this issue in the past and many people have chimed in that they had the same issue. At first (after clearing cache, updating the app, or updating the OS) you are able to use the chrome menu to 'add shortcut to home screen' and it works just fine.....for a time or two, then it completely stops. The fix i have is this. Reboot into safe mode (long press on reboot when you long press the home button). Once in safe mode, add a shortcut like you normally would. Now, when you reset back into normal, non-safe mode, your functionality will be 100% restored. It's been working for days for me now! #2 That says that some app you've installed is preventing it from putting shortcuts on the homescreen. (Safe mode only boots normally, but without any of the apps you've installed.) #3 That says that some app you've installed is preventing it from putting shortcuts on the homescreen. (Safe mode only boots normally, but without any of the apps you've installed.) Normally I'd say you are 100% correct, but if it was a rogue app, the odd behavior would come back after booting. normally.
