I am using the Advanced Serial Data Logger and have it commuicating with our serial device on a desktop PC.I have enabled the OPC Server and am seeing my data in the tags.Per the instructions I have also downloaded and installed the OPC Core Components Redistributable.The computer is on the network and pingable from my laptop.I installed the OPC Scada Viewer on my laptop and I'm trying to connect to the OPC Server but I'm getting the following error message:Unable to retrieve OPC servers list from the specified host [The RPC server is unavailable].The client can't establish a connection with the remote server.Please check your firewall and security settings on the client and server.Everything with the firewall appears okay on both machines.I went as far as turning off the firewall on the desktop with the OPC Server running.I also tried connecting with the MatrikonOPCExplorer with no success either.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
