Membaca doa ini, artinya mengakui bahwa segala kekuatan dan pertolongan sejati hanya berasal dari Allah.9. Membaca Ayat Suci Al-Qur'an:Langkah selanjutnya adalah melakukan ruqyah dengan membaca doa ruqyah mandiri berupa ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran. Beberapa ayat yang sering dibaca saat meruqyah diri sendiri antara lain surat Al-Fatihah, Ayat Kursi (surat Al-Baqarah ayat 255), surat Al-Ikhlas, surat Al-Falaq, dan surat An-Naas. Dalam ruqyah, kita perlu membaca ayat-ayat ini dengan tajwid yang baik, memperhatikan makna serta tujuan dari pembacaan ruqyah. Ruqyah dilakukan dengan keyakinan bahwa ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran memiliki kekuatan untuk melindungi dan menyembuhkan.10. Minum air putih yang sudah ditiupkan ayat-ayat Al-Quran:Setelah melakukan ruqyah, kita dapat meniupkan ayat-ayat Al-Quran pada air putih yang disiapkan. Kemudian, air tersebut dapat diminum. Air ini diyakini memiliki keberkahan dan dapat menjadi sarana penyembuhan dari gangguan jin dan penyakit hati. Dalam mengonsumsi air tersebut, kita meyakini bahwa kekuatan penyembuhan berasal dari Allah melalui ayat-ayat-Nya yang kita terapkan pada air tersebut.

Blowing (lightly spitting) before reciting: A’ishah (radiyallahu ‘anhā) said, “Whenever the Prophet would go to bed each night, he would cup both his hands together, then blow onto them and recite into them…”[23]2. Blowing (lightly spitting) whilst reciting: “Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) would go to bed each night, he would cup both his hands together, then blow into them with Al-Ikhlās, Al-Falaq and an-Nās…”[24] Ibn Hajr stated, “Meaning, he would recite these verses and blow whilst reciting (into his hands).”[25]3. Spitting/blowing after reciting: The story of the ‘Alqamah when he passed by a people who had a man fettered because he was overcome by madness. The people said to ‘Alqamah, “Have you something with which you can cure him?” So he recited Surat al-Fatihah and he was cured. In a narration, “He recited Surat Al-Fātihah over him for three days morning and evening. Whenever he finished it, he collected some of his saliva and spat it out, and he seemed as if he were set free from a bond.
