#1 Hey everyone! So I recently got back into my SDR and radio hobby and was looking for a good way to scan my local PD/Fire without the need for a dedicated scanner. I had my old RTL-SDR lying around and started researching for ways to scan P25 conventional and NFM using the same software. Some of my local towns use P25 while others use NFM which has made searching for software that can do this very difficult to find. While looking around I came across DSD+ (Fastlane) which I have used in the past and didn't know it had a scanning function. I tried using it but it's really slow compared to what my XTS5000 could do (my unit is UHF only I need to scan VHF). There are lots of other trunking software from what I've seen as well that don't allow me to scan P25 and FM together in the same scan group unfortunately (to my knowledge). I was wondering if anybody here knows of some good software that could do it and have it scan relatively fast so I don't miss any traffic. Thanks #2 I use DSDPlus FastLane with the scanner feature and it seems pretty fast. I use it for AM FM and P25 conventional. What are your delay settings and how many freqs do you have in the scan list? #3 Hey everyone! So I recently got back into my SDR and radio hobby and was looking for a good way to scan my local PD/Fire without the need for a dedicated scanner. An Aquarius Rising, or the Aquarius Ascendant, in your chart makes you an iconoclast in your own right. This eccentric ascendant ensures that you’ll be one of a kind. Whether you’re shocking the world with your sartorial choices or disrupting industries as a thought leader, you’re a true original. Are you a Aquarius Rising?Use our cosmic calculator to discover what zodiac sign the ascendant was in when you were born if you’re unsure. To accurately determine your ascendant, you will need to know your birth time. The rising sign or the ascendant is always “in” your first house—in fact it’s the very first degree or the beginning cusp, found at the 9 o’clock point on every chart. Don’t have your birth certificate? If you were born in the United States, you can write to the Office of Vital Records in your birth state for a copy.Find your Rising SignCalculate Yours! The ascendant changes zodiac signs about every two hours. Since the sun rises and sets at different times depending on the season, a person born at 10:00 a.m. in April would have a vastly different ascendant than someone born at 10:00 a.m. in November. Fun fact: If you were born at sunrise (or within two hours of it), your ascendant will likely be the same sign as your Sun sign (e.g., Taurus with a Taurus rising—or a “double Taurus”).Traits of Aquarius Rising/The Aquarius AscendantRainbows and unicorns…and butterflies too! If you happen to be an Aquarius rising, we might literally be talking about your outfit. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, the only planet in the zodiac that spins on its side. Even if you’re a die-hard denim and athleisure type, this eccentric ascendant ensures that you’ll be one of a kind. Whether you’re shocking the world with your sartorial choices or disrupting industries as a thought leader, you’re a true original. With this communal air sign as your ascendant, you’re a legit social butterfly who loves breezing around from group to group. When you’re swept along in the “people current,” you can work a room like no one’s business. You may have anAscendant NFM Download - nfm.zip
What’s My Vertex? Vertex Sign CalculatorLook up your Vertex signIf you are unsure of the sign of your Vertex, you can determine it by entering your data below in this Vertex Sign Calculator: Please enter your birth city ONLY in the location field, and then scroll for the correct location. For example, if you were born in Dallas, Texas, enter only Dallas, not Texas or the United States, and then scroll for the correct Dallas, Texas entry.VertexYou absolutely need to know your birth time in order to determine your Vertex, as it is just as time-sensitive as the Ascendant. The Ascendant, house cusps, and points derived from these points are the most time-dependent factors in the birth chart. The Vertex is found closer to the Descendant than the Ascendant.**Please note that the Vertex, like the Ascendant, is highly sensitive to a correct time zone. While the calculator above is excellent for time zones for births from 1970 onward, it’s missing some of the historical time changes. Daylight saving time, in particular, was not standardized and varied greatly not only between states but often between towns and cities. If you were born before 1970, check your Vertex with us at [email protected] to be certain.Read about the Vertex: here. Are you interested in learning your Moon sign, Mercury sign, Venus sign, Ascendant, and more? Top of everything else, when I called in as caller #9 that night it was for 5K in NFM and a meet and greet with the Property Brothers (I would love to hear the broadcast from 6:25 to 6:35 that night, Wednesday the 9th). Now I can't get a straight answer or even an acknowledgement on the 5k in NFM and still haven't received my electronic tickets. What is really going on? Is it normally this hard to get your prize? I've never won anything on the radio before and this has been the worst experience, rather than being fun!! This was truly a let down!! I guess I can assume that I will be missing the event, unless it's standard to get your prize at the absolute last minute. 2 years ago star star star_border star_border star_border Anna Brock For the most part, I like IHeart radio, I don't really listen to specific stations as much as I do genres. One thing that irritates the bejeebers out of me is that I can down vote the same artist or song repeatedly and it makes no difference, I keep getting them again. For example, I listen to fingerstyle guitar by Don Ross, Leo Kottke etc, this is a strictly instrumental (guitar mainly) style, yet I keep getting Joni Mitchell thrown into the mix. Not only is that vocals, but it is not even in the genre. Maybe your software that sorts the music needs a little tweeking or something. PleaseComments
