I have paid for Avast for 1 year, and when I scan, performance issues are not being fixed ! I may have well have stuck to the free version! Not happy! Avast Community performance optimisation ? September 7, 2004, 9:22am 1 Hello !I’ve been using Avast Home Edition for a long time now.Recently I had a problem with my computer and I had to download Avast again few days ago.But something seems to be going wrong : Avast keeps telling me that my Virus Database is too old each time I’m connecting to the internet, there seems to be some misunderstandings in the progam itself because each time I try to update the program or the database, it says that it is already up to date with the 0436-4 VDB version and Avast is also up to date according to itself (v. 4.1.418).Each time I’m connecting to the internet the red box pop out and says that Virus database is too old.Can someone please tell what to do ?Thanks ! To replace mine with the original which is google it only has two which is bing & yahoo. First of all I do not have any of the addons that it says i have on my computer secondly , Browser addons do not usually have any thing to do with addons. This is happening in a payed latest version of avast antivirus. Like I said before I have used avast for a long time and I cant believe that they would stoop this low to try to make money off people that dont know much about computers and have them install browsers that they should not have to replace in the first place, Just so they can make a buck… I sure hope that screwing people isn’t the write way to go. December 12, 2017, 10:29pm 1 Hello. I made a mistake installing Avast on my windows 10 machine, and now i cant get rid of it. I tried deleting it via Programs and Features option in Control panel, i tried using Avast cleanup program. After a few hours Avast shortcut appears again, and when i check - program is installed again.Even more wierd things - when i tried to uninstall it the third time (using control panel) i keep getting error - Setup is already running, please try to start the setup later. And there is a link to an empty log page. There is no other programs installing or uninstalling, control panel has no troubles uninstalling any other programsI dont want to say this, but Avast does looks like malware - program should not install itself without my permission. It is also impossible to kill the process with Task manager (even when i open it as administrator). Aslo not having a proper uninstaller inside program folder is a pretty bad moveEdit - And its even blocking my attempts to remove it from startup! That does feel like a virus. Installs itself, cant get rid of it you have no idea what it is doing…Edit 2 - i also feel like i have to point this out - this is almost completely clear installation of windows 10.
