Sign in to your CBR account Legendary actor and Emmy winner Christopher Lloyd appears to have broken his silence about his Star Wars debut in The Mandalorian: Season 3. While attending a Q&A panel at Fanboy Expo 2022 in Louisville, the star best known as Doc Emmet L. Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy and the Klingon renegade Kruge in 1984's Star Trek III: The Search for Spock was asked by the moderator about his involvement in the further adventures of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu. His response was just as mysterious as his undisclosed character. "We were all sworn to secrecy," Lloyd said. "So I don't know." Lloyd's casting as a guest star in the popular Disney+ series was announced in March with no further details about his role. The footage revealed at Star Wars Celebration 2022 hints at Din Djarin's quest for redemption among his clan when he and Grogu travel to the cursed planet of Mandalore. Other details remain scarce. At age 83, Lloyd has enjoyed a career renaissance in his twilight years. The actor took part in a DeLorean expedition for the Discovery Channel special Expedition Back to the Future, a Daylight Saving Time PSA promoting the Ryan Reynolds movie The Adam Project and appeared in supporting roles for films such as 2021's Nobody and the upcoming Spirit Halloween. Additionally, he played the Doc Brown-inspired Rick Sanchez in live-action form for the fifth season of Rick and Morty, and he expressed ideas for a Back to the Future crossover with his famous character. Also returning for The Mandalorian: Season 3 are Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) and Peli Motto (Amy Sedaris). One character whose role will be expanded is the Armorer (Emily Swallow), who had banished Din Djarin from his clan in The Book of Boba Fett, Episode 5, "Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian." "She will [have a bigger presence in Season 3], yes," Swallow said. "So maybe we'll learn more, or maybe she'll remain a mystery." It's also been reported that Taika Waititi will return to star in

The Mandalorian Sign in to your ScreenRant account The Mandalorian season 3, episode 4 “The Foundling” may have just revealed how past Mandalorians learned to ride Mythosaurs. The mystic creature appeared at the end of The Mandalorian season 3, episode 2 “The Mines of Mandalore” when Bo-Katan Kryze saved Din Djarin in the Living Waters. It’s not clear what the Mythosaur’s role will be or when it will return, but its reveal will most definitely be important going forward. Din Djarin has been seen taming other beasts, most notably the blurrg from The Mandalorian season 1, but the Mythosaur is a large leap from that. The stories told in The Mandalorian all talk about how Mand'alor the Great and other ancient Mandalorians were able to tame and ride the beasts, but how they accomplished that seems to have been lost in the eons that have passed. However, The Mandalorian season 3, episode 4 may have revealed how the ancient Mandalorians were able to tame a beast as great as the Mythosaur. Mandalorians Adopt Animal Foundlings As Well As Converts Pedro Pascal and three masked Mandalorian actors in The Mandalorian season 3 The ending of The Mandalorian season 3, episode 4 showed the rescue party bringing back the baby raptors as foundlings after Din Djarin, Paz Vizsla, and Bo-Katan Kryze killed their mother. This came as a bit of a shock, considering all of the other Mandalorians seen have presumably been humans, with the notable exception being Grogu. This would mean that the Way allows Mandalorians to adopt animals as foundlings, just like they welcome other beings. Din Djarin and Grogu are not from Mandalore but are considered Mandalorians because they are foundlings and choose to walk the Way. The adoption of the baby raptors as foundlings means that in the future, once the raptors are older, they will not hunt the Mandalorians as they are now part of the tribe. It was shown that other Mandalorians had been taken from their camp as food, but now that the baby raptors are on their side, they won't serve as threats any

Liberating Mandalore and heralding a new age. Din officially adopts Grogu as his own and returns to Nevarro to live on a tract of land offered to them by Greef Karga, lying low before embarking on Grogu's apprentice journeys. Related The Mandalorian Season 3 Ending Explained The Mandalorian season 3 has come to an end with an action-packed finale, complete with more than a few surprise twists and teases for the future. Din Djarin's Future Working For The New Republic Din has struck a deal with the New Republic ranger Captain Carson Teva, agreeing to hunt Imperials under-the-table as contracted "bounty hunting" work. This will see Din and Grogu hunting down and fighting against Imperial Remnants throughout the galaxy in The Mandalorian season 4, mostly as a part of Grogu's apprentice journeys. Between adventures, Din and Grogu will be lying low in their home on Nevarro, and surely visiting Bo-Katan and the Mandalorians as they rebuild their homeworld. Training & Raising Grogu Grogu, as Din's adopted son and apprentice under the name of "Din Grogu," will officially be trained as a Mandalorian. Just like his mentor once did for him, Din will be taking Grogu on his apprentice journeys, training him under the Way of the Mand'alor. Hopefully, Din's training and encouragement will lead to Grogu at last being able to speak, and he'll get to witness Grogu speak the Creed earn his Mandalorian helmet. Joining The Fight Against Thrawn Din, now solidified as one of Star Wars' most important heroes, is only intertwining himself more within the web of greater galactic conflicts. Another war is brewing now that Grand Admiral Thrawn has returned from his extragalactic exile, and there's no doubt Din's hunts of the Imperials will get him roped up in whatever schemes Thrawn is planning. It's expected that Din will help other heroes, such as Bo-Katan, Ahsoka, and more, fight against Thrawn whenever the time comes, and there's no doubt Thrawn will prove to be more than a formidable foe even for a seasoned warrior like Din - whether they meet in the future of The Mandalorian or beyond. The Mandalorian Sign in to your ScreenRant account Summary Din Djarin, also known as Mando, is an honorable Mandalorian warrior who protects and helps those in need, especially his adopted son Grogu. He was rescued by the Mandalorians as a child and raised in the Mandalorian Fighting Corps, becoming one of their strongest warriors. Din's future involves working for the New Republic, training and raising Grogu as a Mandalorian, and joining the fight against Grand Admiral Thrawn. As the titular character of The Mandalorian, the importance of Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin in Star Wars has only grown more and more since his debut. Also known as "Mando," Din has quickly become one of Star Wars' most recognizable and beloved characters, mostly due to his relationship with his adopted son Grogu. Initially set up as a ruthless bounty hunter, Din has since proven himself to be an honorable Mandalorian warrior and protective guardian, traversing the Outer Rim of the galaxy in quest after quest to help those who need it most. Despite Din's importance to The Mandalorian and Star Wars as a whole, little is currently known about his life before the events of The Mandalorian. Still, the show itself and various pieces of additional media have offered more tidbits of information that provide the context for Din's life before meeting Grogu. He's also expected to have quite an expansive Star Wars future, especially with The Mandalorian season 4 now on the horizon. Here's everything that's currently known about Din Djarin's backstory, timeline, and future explained. Season 3 of The Mandalorian heavily featured Emily Swallow's The Armorer, but will fans see her return in Season 4 of the Disney+ show? After Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin was banished by The Armorer from his Mandalorian covert in The Book of Boba Fett, he set out to cleanse himself in the waters of Mandalore so that he could be welcomed back with open arms. However, he ultimately ran into some trouble and enlisted the help of not only The Armorer and his Mandalorian friends but also Bo-Katan Kryze and her group of Mandalorians who had radically different beliefs. At the end of Season 3, the Mandalorians chose to unite in order to defeat the Empire, but now that they are all back together on Mandalore and The Armorer can stay at her own forge on the planet, fans are itching to know where her story will go in the upcoming Season 4.Emily Swallow on The Armorer's Future Star WarsIn an exclusive interview with The Direct ahead of her appearance at Fan Expo San Francsico, actress Emily Swallow, who plays The Armorer in Disney+'s The Mandalorian, was asked about her character's potential return. When specifically asked about The Armorer appearing in the upcoming Season 4 of the show, Swallow stated that she "honestly [doesn't] know," but that she "really hopes" the character will be featured.Swallow also recalled what she enjoyed most about The Armorer's Season 3 arc, specifically noting how her character and Katee Sackhoff's Bo-Katan "defied expectations in working together:""I honestly don't know. I really hope so, but I have no specifics about what direction this next season is going off into. I love the Armorer so much, and I love especially this last season that she and [Bo-Katan] sort of defied expectations in working together and I love that. I love that both of them were willing to sort of look outside these very strongly held beliefs that they've had to see what was gonna benefit the Mandalorian people as a whole, and to take a chance, to take a big risk, because for either of them, they could have lost the respect of their factions by aligning with the other."The star also talked about how she would be interested to see "how this new combined Mandalorian society plays out:""And I would love to see more of how this new combined Mandalorian society plays out. Of course, I always want to know, like, 'Well what else is the Armorer up to? What does she do when she's not having to now drag her forge to different planets all the time, now that she sort of has a home base?'"While once again mentioning that she has "no certain verification" on whether or

Filmmaker Dave Filoni is set to develop a Star Wars movie that will reportedly unite the events of The Mandalorian, Star Wars: Ahsoka, and Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, but actor Paul Sun-Hyung Lee recently recalled that he has no idea what Filoni and co-creator Jon Favreau are planning for the future. As it currently stands, there’s no confirmation about either Ahsoka or Book of Boba Fett getting a Season 2, though Mandalorian is reportedly earning a Season 4. How or when Filoni’s massive crossover will tie everything together is unknown to fans, but seemingly also to Sun-Hyung Lee himself. Videos by ComicBook.com “I still have no idea where this is all leading,” Sun-Hyung Lee revealed to Tattooine Times. “I’m just gratified and so happy that Jon and Dave want to keep me on board and play this character who is becoming more and more important in [the Star Wars universe].”Sun-Hyung Lee debuted as Carson Teva in Season 2 of The Mandalorian, helping establish the concept of the Rangers of the New Republic, who aimed to keep peace in the galaxy in the wake of the collapse of the Galactic Empire. After his Mandalorian debut, Teva would go on to appear in Book of Boba Fett, serving as a character who highlights the law-keeping structure of this unique point in time.Even if Teva has yet to establish himself as a game-changing figure for the franchise, Sun-Hyung Lee explained how the character was conceived as being a street-level figure who offered insight into a specific perspective of this timeframe.“Jon Favreau described him like a beat cop back in New York … he knows the neighborhood, he’s been around for a while, and he knows how to pick and choose his battles. Because he has limited resources, he’s gotta depend on the community to help him out,” the actor expressed. “I kind of took that idea and expanded it because The Mandalorian has such a Western theme to it, so I looked at him more like a Texas Ranger back in the day. These were formidable lawmen who had vast territories that they had to problem-solve to keep the peace on their own. They had to rely on their smarts and the community to survive. That’s how I modeled Carson Teva … he’s a veteran of many battles. He’s very passionate about the cause and an honorable man. He knows how to play between the lines because there’s no absolutes when you’re out there with limited resources.”While there were previous plans to develop the spinoff Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic, those plans have seemingly been scrapped.
