There are several sub-races of elves scattered across Nyn.Sky Elves A Skyelf The Sky Elves were the first race of elves, being the mortal children of the winds, with delicate features and wings that allowed them to soar freely though the skies. During the Elemental Wars, they were enslaved by the sons of stone, the giants, and their wings ripped off. The giants quickly discovered that these elves could not survive being removed from the sight of the sky and sun, and were renamed the sun elves.Sun Elves A Sun Elf The sun elves are the descendents of the sky elves. Though they no longer have wings, they still cannot survive being out of sight of the sun and sky for too long. Over the centuries, they have shifted their affinity to fire, and are now commonly found among the other sons of Fire, such as the orcs.Wood Elves A Wood Elf The wood elves were sun elves that fled towards the forests, eventually residing amongst the trees and learning the ways of nature.Winterling ElvesWinterling elves were sun elves that settled in the northern mountains of Lyr. Adapting to the harsh conditions of their new homes, they gained an affinity to Frost and can be found in the armies of Lyr.Dark Elves A Dark Elf Dark elves fled to the Shadowlands, a twisted wasteland where magical storms raged. Tainted by the shadow, they became fearsome warriors who cared not for life, neither theirs nor others.Battleforge has been revived by a group of passionate players and developers under the name Skylords RebornIt is a fully functional, community-made, non-profit and completely free-to-play relaunch of the game. For those of you sticking with Vista, Microsoft has finally officially released DirectX 11 for Vista, after having spent the last couple of months in beta. This final release looks to be the same as the last beta released earlier this month. The update is KB971512, which is being released as part of a larger Platform Update for Vista that includes a few other things that are being backported for Vista. Vista SP2 is the prerequisite, so if you aren’t already on SP2 you’ll need to update. All of these updates should be available on Windows Update. We ran a quick sanity check on our Vista install from our Win7 Performance Guide from earlier this week, and there are no surprises. Just like with DX10, DX11 titles (all 2 of them ) perform the same between the two OSes. In this case we’re using BattleForge, along with Unigine’s DX11 Heaven benchmark (it’s synthetic, but pickings are slim for DX11). We’ve also thrown in Crysis for good measure, although it's not a DX11 title.

Battleforges were specialty priests of the Church of Tempus who supplied the Foehammer's faithful with the weapons and tools needed to wage war.[1]Activities[]Battleforges were all too eager to test their creations on the field of battle. Given the amount of time spent at their forge, most battleforges bore far fewer scars and other wounds received during combat when compared to other members of Tempus's clergy.[1]Culture[]All battleforges were humans, gnomes, dwarves, or half-elves. Every item they created was a personal devotion to Tempus.[1]Abilities[]Battleforges could use their keen eye to examine any weapon, piece of armor, or shield to determine the exact nature of their magical enchantment. If they wielded a non-magical weapon that they personally forged, a battleforge could use the weapon to strike creatures that were usually immune to mundane weaponry.[1]They could not cast spells from the animal, healing, or plant spheres. They also could not turn undead.[1]Possessions[]They never wore helmets. They favored plate mail worn with a red sash that ran diagonally across their chest to the hip. Their weapons of choice were warhammers and a variety of swords. A battleforge's weapon and armor were provided to them by the Church.[1]Appendix[]References[]↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 1.6 John Terra (February 1996). Warriors and Priests of the Realms.
