Build A Boat For Treasure (often abbreviated as BABFT or BAB) is a Roblox game developed by Chillz Studios, headed by Chillthrill709. The game focuses on building boats or other contraptions to survive various challenging areas, called stages, and reaching the treasure chest at the end.Boats[]Boats are the key to victory in this "build-to-survive"-type game. The stronger the boat is, the more likely it is to survive the various obstacles on the journey to the treasure. To that end, players typically join teams, combining their blocks to work toward that goal.Stages[]As players progress through the game, they will encounter dangerous stages. Each stage has its own obstacles, such as rocks or waves. They serve as a test for the player's boat-building skills.Treasure[]Players are rewarded a treasure after surviving every stage on the map. At the very end, there is a drop from a waterfall into a set of rock spikes. If the player survives, their boat floats to a sandbank, where the player may collect the titular treasure. When opened, it rewards players with a handful of Gold and a gold block. The amount of gold depends on how fast the player goes through the stages. 2025-04-17The Brick Block is a material block in Build A Boat For Treasure. It has the highest friction out of all material blocks, so it is useful for mechanisms that require extra traction, such as custom wheels, tank treads, or walkers. It has a HSV color of 100, 100, 59.Obtaining[]Brick Blocks have a 33% (1-in-3) chance to be obtained from the Legendary Chest. It is also purchasable from the Shop at a rate of 375 Gold for 50 blocks.Former methods[]They were initially obtainable during the 2018 Easter event from a Red Egg. They were also obtainable from the expired codes "leescode" (5 blocks) and "Cannon Crazy" (40). The Old Secret Treasure (#15) contained 25 blocks.Prior to their removal or reward change, the following quests awarded Brick Blocks: The Rings (100 Brick Blocks)Target (50 Brick Blocks)Dragon (100 Brick Blocks)Ramp (25 Brick Blocks)A total of 275 Brick Blocks could have been obtained through the aforementioned quests.
2025-04-01The Crystal Cave Stage is a medium difficulty stage in Build A Boat For Treasure. It replaces all rocks with black colored rocks with crystals jutting out of them. It has a collidable roof, unlike most stages.Secret Treasure[]In order to obtain the Medium Treasure (#4), the player has to shoot ten crystals (or one if the area has spawned) on the wall with any Cannons, such as Hand Cannons. Lasers will then lock onto the player before subsequently teleporting them into the secret area where they must locate three crystals hidden in a maze of Portals to unlock the chest. The three crystals are colored orange, white, and yellow, respectively. The shortest path to each crystal is by entering the following portal orders:Orange: green-grayWhite:yellow-cyan-blackYellow: green-white-purple or yellow-orange-purpleNote that the purple Portal's oscillating ring looks similar to pink. The colored decorations on its frame will be more distinct, however.After reaching the crystal, the player must pick it up by walking into it. They then must carry it back to the platform in the main room and insert it into one of the three unoccupied tubes. The order of crystals does not matter.
