Christina Perri was born on August 19, 1986. She was an American singer and songwriter. Her debut single was Jar of Hearts. The single was featured on the television series So You Think You Can Dance in 2010.She signed a deal with Atlantic Records and then released, The Ocean Way Sessions, an EP. After releasing her debut single and EP, she released her debut studio album titled Lovestrong in 2011. The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.Christina Perri became quite popular and recognized after writing and recording A Thousand Years, the love theme for the film, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2. The song sold over 10 million copies in the United States of America and the official music video to the song also recorded 2 billion views on YouTube as of December 2021.Her second EP, A Very Merry Perri Christmas (2012) was subsequently released and it was followed by Head or Heart, her second studio album.
