Moved iTunes folder, having to Locate files one at a time Hello friends. I've recently moved my iTunes library over to an larger external hard drive. Over the years I've uploaded many audio books into my iTunes Music Playlists. This was not a problem until now, where I am finding that after transfer when I try to play some books there are files that won't play. No problem, read about this on the webs. I hit 'Locate', find the file rather easily deep within the Music folder, and it plays - then I'm asked if I want to find missing songs, I say yes, after a few seconds, it tells me it can't find 13,612 files. Then when the very next file comes up, it won't play, I'm prompted, I go locatin', find it, hit 'Open' and it plays. I hit 'find the missing files - now only 13,611 files can't be found. Some of my audio books have over 100+ files within, 30 or so won't play and I have to hunt them down individually. I've tried opening iTunes files direct from the hard drive, thinking it might focus iTunes to look there. Making iTunes library find missing tracks in multiple, not one by one OK so this is a problem that has been dogging me for a few weeks now. Due to lack of space on both my laptop and external drive my music files have been in 2 separate places. I finally bought myself a TB drive and have moved all of my files to the new drive. However, the iTunes library now cannot find around 2000 files. Every time I click to play the exclamation mark pops up and i have to manually find the new location, and there is no function to make the library realise that it could find all the missing files there. Is there any way round this problem? Second problem is that now I have pointed iTunes in the right direction to the new drive (Lacie/iTunes) there seems to be a new folder created by iTunes called Music to which new imports are added. This folder sits in amongst all my other artist folders. How can I get iTunes to not do this? If I moved all of my existing folders into this new Music folder I would have the same problem with iTunes not being able to find files but for th whole of my collection. I really dont want to have to create a new library as it is imperitive that I keep my library ordered in Date Added order. Any help on this greatly appreciated. Good afternoon all, As a new beginner with FCP, I edited my video under the "project - video coupée". I did all my edits, added animations, trimmed the audio, all of it in this project. After exporting the final result to a video, I deleted the files in the library, thinking it would be clear and ready for the next project. For precision, both my media and cache are stored on an external driver for space, Motion content and Backups are by default on the Mac. After deleting only the files from the library (not from the trash after), I wanted to do a last change on my timeline. But, you guessed it, impossible to find my all my edit on the timeline I was working on. I tried to find help online how to restore backups with the edits and so, but it was not helpful. So my question is : Is there a way to find back my timeline with ALL my edits where they were left off ? I did find the backups one from "Files" -> "Open library" -> "from backups". I do have the timeline trimmed BUT no edits, animations or images I put... (you can see it on the photo)Also, could someone explain me how to properly save my timeline with edits for next time in case I need to re-work on this in the future? I'm kinda desperate and will give any information needed to find answers. Thank you,
