This now appears not to be the case. The old printer allowed us to select 2 sided orginal and scan one side then the other and the software resorted the pages. I had no problems setting it up except for alignment issues that eventually got solved. Then I tried to print a picture and all colors printed except magenta. I tried all three steps cleaning the cartridges but still no magenta.I have tried all the other troubleshooting tips in the HP sheet. I have no other cartridges to try and don't want to buy a new one as Instant Ink cartridges have been ordered. But I do need to use this printer right away. It does seem like I need to replace the cartridge. But that's $25 and I'm trying to decide if that's worth it. I just took the printer out of the box for the first time.
