This now appears not to be the case. The old printer allowed us to select 2 sided orginal and scan one side then the other and the software resorted the pages. I understand that you have an HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer and are unable to install it on your Win10 computer as the drivers appear to be unavailable. You've done a remarkable job performing the steps. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you. To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details: Are you trying to connect the printer wirelessly or via USB?Are you trying to install the drivers from the disk or from the HP website?NOTE: If you're going to connect the printer via USB, then do not connect it initially. Begin the installation first and later there will be a prompt to connect the printer. That's when you may connect the printer.Meanwhile, I did some research and found that the drivers for Win10 are available at the HP website. You may download and install the full featured drivers from this link. If the issue persists then I suggest to uninstall any existing printer drivers from the root level. The following steps will help:In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.Select your HP printer.Select Uninstall.In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.Type printui.exe /s and click OK.Click on Drivers tab.Look for HP Printer driver. I had no problems setting it up except for alignment issues that eventually got solved. Then I tried to print a picture and all colors printed except magenta. I tried all three steps cleaning the cartridges but still no magenta.I have tried all the other troubleshooting tips in the HP sheet. I have no other cartridges to try and don't want to buy a new one as Instant Ink cartridges have been ordered. But I do need to use this printer right away. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.I understand that your HP Envy 7640 is automatically cancelling the Print Job but Photocopy works fineI'll try my best to helpI suggest we start with a Printer Reset(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceedThen Remove and Re-Add the Printer to the Mac Printing Queue Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners. Figure : Example of the Printers & Scanners window Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, and then do one of the following steps. If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to confirm it is set up for AirPrint.
