OBS iShowU Audio Capture - no audio from iShowU
Monitors are plugged into. I have a Blue Snowball mic that I want to record audio into. I setup a new Multi-Output Device in Audio Devices, I have clicked to enable iShowU Audio Capture, as well as my interface AudioBox 22 VSL. I have made the AudioBox the Master Device. I have clicked on the AudioBox for Drift Correction. I then went over to System Preferences/Sounds and have selected Multi-Output Device in Output, and Blue Snowball for input. I then launch both Ableton Live and OBS. In OBS I have the settings under Audio to Mic/Auxiliary Audio: Blue Snowball, and Mic/Auxiliary Audio 2: iShowU Audio Capture. In Ableton my Audio Output is selected to AudioBox 22 VSL.The problem is that when I hit play I hear my audio through my monitors (that's good), my mic is registering me talking in Mic/Aux (that's good), but I'm not getting anything registering in Mic/Aux 2 (that's bad). I just installed and signed up for Audio App, but it seems very different from ishowu and I can't find a tutorial showing how to use it with OBS. Hi! I've recently redone nearly all the docs, and I've added setup videos specifically for OBS, Streamlabs OBS. Also for Zoom, Discord (a little different). New driver, as of today, also lets you define everything with Hotkeys; so you can drive it all from a Stream Deck. Hope that's useful. 2025-04-07Hi all, I'm a new streamer/DJ that's having trouble streaming direct audio to Twitch through OBS, so please forgive my lack of correct terminology in all of this. Any help is appreciated! If you need information or screenshots, just let me know.Context/issue: Previously, I'd been streaming on twitch using my laptop's built-in mic to capture audio playing from my BT speaker that's connected to my laptop via aux. But to heighten the sound quality of my streams, I wanted to find a way to input the direct sound from my laptop/DJ software out to OBS/Twitch. I downloaded "iShowU Audio Capture" and "Blackhole" as sound cards to help bypass the Mac OS audio output situation, but then another problem came up.OBS is detecting my DJ controller as one input, rather than two (for the pre-cueing). So whenever I stream, I can cue up music fine on my end, but my audience can hear the songs I'm cueing up. I tried researching the issue and thought buying a DAC would allow me to add an input in OBS to use the DAC the "virtual mic" and output to Twitch, but I'm still stuck in the same hole when I'm using "iShowU" or "Blackhole".Question: Is there a way to setup my audio so that when I stream to Twitch through OBS, the direct audio from my laptop is streaming with only the intended sound coming out instead of both intended + pre-cue? (I don't necessarily need a mic as I don't do much
2025-04-03This download is for Mac OS X versions 10.5.8+. iShowU Audio Capture is a virtual mic while Soundflower is a virtual audio grabber. Q: Why do you need to put the extension in Mic/Auxiliary Audio Device, not Desktop Audio Device?Ī: In theory, Soundflower & iShowU Audio Capture are 2 different extensions. Select iShowU Audio Capture as one of your Mic/Auxiliary Audio Device.Īfter this, you should be able to record & stream with audio. In the Output section, select your newly created multi-output device.Ħ. Open System Preferences, then go to Sound. Also check the box for Built-in Output in the 'Drift Correction' column to prevent audio sync issues.ĥ. Check the boxes for Built-in Output & iShowU Audio Capture in the 'Use' column. Click the '+' button at the bottom left of the window. #Ishowu studio no sound in youtube install# Install iShowU Audio Capture(link in checklist) like you installed Soundflower.ģ. iShowU Audio Capture(duh): An extension used by iShowU Studio & iShowU Instant. But what most of you don't know is that you can use another extension to capture audio. So most of you know, to capture audio from a Mac you need an extension like Soundflower.
