Check if the libmakemkv is updated or not. You might have used the version from 1.15.1, while you have the app version 1.15.2. Another solution to try is to delete duplicate library files from /usr/lib and /usr/lib64. Try to remove libmakemkv.so.1, libdriveio.so.0, and libmmbd.so.0 from both /usr/lib and /usr/lib64. Then, do a sudo make install for both makemkv-oss-1.15.3 directory and the makemkv-bin-1.15.3 directory. Part 3. MakeMKV Failed to Save Title Failed to save title is an error in MakeMKV is a common error for many users. One suggests it is an incorrectly mastered Blu-ray disc that prevents you from saving the title. Confirm it by opening the Preferences dialog and turning on the Log Debug Messages option. Restart MakeMKV and try to open the files again. Mostly, this error is on the Blu-ray disc that does not contain AccessUnit NAL units in the AVC video stream. A great example is a pirated disc. You’ll run into a problem with it without the information MakeMKV needed for the ripping process. Part 4. Can not Rip DVDs or Blu-rays with MakeMKV For a failed Blu-ray and DVD ripping, the drive that cannot read the key area of the disk can be the main reason. It makes it impossible for the DVD ripper to calculate the decryption key, and even the drive will refuse to process the requests. It is better to ensure the drive you use is LibreDrive compatible, as it will only allow you to process Blu-ray discs with AACs v76. The worrying part is if you have an incompatible LibreDrive, you might run into AACS host certificate issues. Part 5. MakeMKV Alternative If you don’t want to bother with complex settings with MakeMKV, it is recommended to use a better alternative like Blu-ray Ripper for Windows andTroubleshoot MakeMKV Scsi Errors Best Alternative to MakeMKV

Inserted it, and MakeMkV read it just fine and was ready to rip. Then I saw that version 1.15.4 was available, so I closed the program, downloaded 1.15.4 and updated my software. I rebooted and made sure the registration was still active. Now it won't read the disc. It churns for a while as normal, then ends with "No Disc Inserted."Any ideas? oatmeal769 Posts: 27 Joined: Wed Apr 15, 2020 3:50 pm Re: Update to 1.15.4 = "No Disc Inserted" error Post by oatmeal769 » Thu Dec 31, 2020 4:50 am Okay, cool, thanks for helping me narrow it down. I'll see what I can figure out there. Is there any way that updating makemkv did it? Or, if something happened in my system when the update was applied? Everything was fine and ready to rip the title just before I did the update. See if it works after that. That did it. I cold-booted into safe mode where it did see the drive, and then a normal boot-up where everything works.I had restarted a couple of times but didn't do an actual shut-down and cold boot-up. Most of the time a restart fixes everything wonky on my PC. Guess I had to let the memory completely purge. I was sure it was makemkv after the software update. I appreciate your helping me run that down, Billycar!!Getting errors at section 15 of the BR Error 'Scsi error - makemkv

Bootable at all. Any chance you could try a name brand like Sandisk, Crucial, etc? #19 I might see if I can borrow a different one from someone else, but both sticks have been successfully used to boot and then install windows operating systems, although admittedly not on this hardware. I may try installing windows just to see if it's a hardware issue. #20 [Update]I ran Memtest with 4 passes and no errors were shown.
