After many long and grueling years, fans' refusal to let their favorite game and mercenaries just rot away or to let Valve continue to coast on their goodwill was finally rewarded. Issue #7 is possibly the start of the game's second wind but, whatever happens to it from here on out, it now has a definite ending. Nothing lasts forever, including Team Fortress 2. The game will be playable via Steam for the foreseeable future, but for a generation of gamers, Team Fortress 2 is done. "The Days Have Worn Away" gave Team Fortress 2 and its fans the closure they needed and longed for.
