Cuz I used that for the MAC 7 or whatever in december for the 8 bit competition and people kept telling me it wasn't 8-bit, even though I put it on 8.Well just by throwing stuff into a bitcrusher doesnt make it a chiptune. The authentic 8bit sound such as in Atari completely comes from a synthesizer ***correct me if I'm wrong* I remember that MAC- a lot of people would just downsample shit. While it may have not been against the rules, it doesnt genuinely sound 8bit ;)OP-If you want some 8bit generator plugs, free, visit www.tweakbench.comSNES uses soundfonts and samples, so recreating these sounds is difficult to impossible, unless ya got access to the soundfonts. No synthesis on the SPC700.On the other hand, Genesis music is mostly synthesized (everything but the drums and some sound FX) and reproducable. Trackers are great to rip the sounds, but what if you want to use these sounds through a plugin in a DAW, such as FL studio? and completely for free? The Genesis uses two chips to process it's sound, a Yamaha YM2612 and a Texas Instruments SN7648. These sounds can both be replicated with two free plugins:YM2612- "VOPM"SN7648- "ProtoPSG"(use google, bitches)Then from there, there are main sound "components" that can be emulated- the YM2612, the PSG (the TE SN7648) and the DAC (8 bit PCM samples, which comes from the sixth channel on the YM2612 chip)From my experience, which is only the past week hehe, the YM2612 plays the main synths plays "ornamental" synths to thicken up the sound, and is used for most sound FX, and hi hats. The DAC is used for samples that can't be replicated through the Genesis' synthetic limitations, usually the percussion, and some FX, such as "SEGA!" when you start up a Sonic game.To see what these sounds sound like by themselves, you will need an emulator. I am using an emulator called "Gens". Go to sound in the Gens emulator and select from YM2612/PSG/DAC (leave Z80 on).To my knowledge, there's no way to directly rip the PSG sounds. However, everything that's processed can be extracted. The VOPM plugin cannot load PCM samples. However , the PCM samples can easily be dumped and used as samples in your personal project. To do this, sert your emulator to output audio only through the DAC, and go to sound -> start .wav dump. Now open the file in an AE and slice out the parts you need. Since the DAC processes one sample at one time, it's simply a cutting job.Enough with stuff you probably dont care to know, Music doesn’t sound good anymore. Removing fuctionality in the PC Controller software makes me quite frustrated. I have to stop upgrading the Sonos software. Way too much bullshit is done because of lazy programmers and idiotic corporate decisions. My old controllers stopped working which was a great way to instantly have Sonos available to all my guests and all children in the house, internal or external. My Samsung tabs are too old to be used. My spare smartphones are too old to run the Sonos software. My previous iPhone are too old to run the software. Come on, Sonos! Wake up to what you're doing to your customers! I will now for the first time in 15 years STOP recommending Sonos to anyone I meet from now on. I've always been a big fan. Not anymore. I'm getting ready to throw everything out for sale to get me something else that I can rely on and doesnt make my day troublesome. Maybe even find something that supports bluetooth as well.By not letting me do everything through my PC anymore, is just super inconvenient and totally unneccesary! The code is already programmed and in the software. Version 9.2 just disables it. Why??Also there is a lot of bugs in 9.2. It doesnt remember the window placement anymore, it doesn't show the queues properly and lots of other small crap. How can I go back to 9.1 on my Windows PC?In a few years, this idiotic change will most likely be reversed at Sonos and at any other company that today stupidly believe noone wants to own a computer anymore. The combination of big screen, keyboard and mouse will always be superior in usability to any smart device with only a touchscreen and voice control. NO way to roll back - you would have to uninstall and find a cached version of the old installer. I don't even know if it would work then but you could try. I'm looking to do the same. Our music was monitored at a service desk and did not want visitors to change music so having a desktop controller was ideal. Our WIFI at the speaker was disabled so as to not cause issues with our network. I've emailed Sonos asking for the previous controller due to the issues this version has created. If answered I will post back here. Rolling back requires a DeLorean DMC-12 and some plutonium, you have to go back and stop yourself from upgrading.Sonos doesn't support it, the older versions of the internal firmware aren't available and finding old controller software won't help because the new firmware won't talk to it except to say: "You need to upgrade" and maybe offer you a limited set ofComments

2025-04-02Edition is not allowing to use other sound-card except the built-in sound card of your controller. If the controller doesnt have a built-in sound card, then it will use the default playback device of Windows. 2025-03-31White and it looks ugly ass hell but everything else works great #25 I was on the first LATAM ICS OTA and I flashed this file without the factory reset and I've retained everything besides root. Now that I've rerooted everything is like it used to be, just with the newer system. Good to know !:good: #26 I have asked it before, but I was not sure enough to do anything, so I'll just ask again.I'm currently using the Chinese ICS with the modified mmb18 file ( I don't have the original one anymore ). If I flash this so called Oficial LATM ICS over the chinese ICS and still using the modified mmb18 file, would it work???? I have flashed this over the LATAM ICS leak so there should be nothing to prevent you from flashing this over the Chinese ICS. Worse comes to worst, you might need to do the factory reset. You'd still need to boot thru BP Tools and the USB Mass Storage will not work as long as you don't have original block18. #27 Hi Pedro,my RSD doesnt recognize my cell in MTP mode even with usb debuggin. So i flashed it in AP Fastboot mode. I waited until the flash finish and when start reboot i entered in recovery mode to upgrade the radio. just like in chinese leak.is there a problem to do like i did, there'll be diferences doing like u posted?btw, the phone is working.thanks #28 Hi Pedro,my RSD doesnt recognize
