2025-04-24A lot of tabs open.It didnt used to do this though. Whatever the behavior was before this was fine. It was working fine in Opera beta, but broken in Opera Developer. Then they updated Opera beta in August and it was broken in both and has been ever since. WhiteR1 @bigmell last edited by @bigmell Thanks, it's been a new piece of info that we can right-click on the horizontal scroll bar, I'd never tried, never imagined it would be possible bc it's so thin. I agree, the horizontal scroll bar should be located on the position defined by the current/active tab, and definitely not the far left side of the tabstrip. hmdsrsh @linfanusr last edited by @linfanusryou should disable the : //setting/user interface/automatically create tab islands//, in new updates of opera. there is a kind of bug in this option. linfanusr @leocg last edited by @leocg said in Scroll bar moving always to the lef side when closing tab:@linfanusr Different product, different UI. Scrollable tab bar is still work in progress in stable versions of Opera One, it was recently turned on in Opera One Developer.I have opera one, earlier this worked, right now it does not so i don't know if this was enabled right now, or not, but as i said. linfanusr @hmdsrsh last edited by @hmdsrsh said in Scroll bar moving always to the lef side when closing tab:@linfanusryou should disable the : //setting/user interface/automatically create tab islands//, in new updates of opera. there is a kind of bug in this option.Thank you, i will check this. WhiteR1 @hmdsrsh last edited by @hmdsrsh I have disabled it from the moment I noticed that menu option, but I still have the problem of the tabstrip jumping to the left on every move switching/closing tab. I.e. still looking forward to a solution for this annoying bug. DrRAZIEL last edited by leocg Dear Opera Tech/Support/Developer Team,I have the same issue as the OP.I also have several hundred of tabs opened (categorized by topics) and up until the last 2 Opera updates ago everything was running smoothly and Opera was my default browser for any situation. Then 2 updates ago (when they introduced the Tab Island feature if I remember correctly) came the first change: I clicked on any tab from the drop-down list at the horizontal tab-bar (I have several tabs open with G00gle search depending on the topic and if I wanted to go to one of the specific g00gle search tabs I just clicked on that one on the drop-down list and the horizontal tab bar jumped immediately to that active window. Until 2 updates ago.), however since then even if I clicked on one of the google search tabs on the drop-down list it no longer moved the top horizontal tab-bar to the active tab, but it did not move at all and I had to scroll there manually. Then came this last update - that was auto-installed yesterday, when I (to some extent accidentally) re-started Opera (I

The tab horizontal scrollbar is open and now whenever I click on a tab it automatically scrolls away from the current tab I am using all the way back to the very first tab.I noticed opera developer has been doing this for about a month as well, but now opera beta is doing the same thing. Is there any way to stop this and revert to the old behavior? Perhaps have the tab scrollbar stop wherever the current open tab is? I think that is what it did before the recent update. Thanks guys, any help is greatly appreciated linfanusr last edited by Hello. I'd like ask for help. I've recently updated to the leates Opera One and found problem with horizontal scroll bar. I often work with many tabs opened. When i watch, for an example, the last one and close it the scroll bar should stay there and this is behaviour on older relases of Opera but with the new one when i close the last tab (for example, i have 100 tabs opened) then horizontal tab goes to the number 1 af the far left side. I have to scroll to the last position all the time. Downgrade Opera solved issue. Could you look into the matter?!!Pic 1: leocg Moderator Volunteer @linfanusr last edited by @linfanusr By scroll bar you mean tabs bar? Scroll bars are within pages and go away when the page is closed.Tabs bar scrolling is still work in progress in Opera One, so there may be bugs. linfanusr @leocg last edited by linfanusr @leocgHi. I mean horizontal "scroll bar". It is visible when you have many tabs open and ther are too much of them to be displayed so you need to circle between them with horizontal scroll bar that can be enabled in opera://flags.I saw your earlier reply here: we are talking about the same thing. Horizontal scoll bar. I saw that it is missing and replaced in Opera One with scrollable-tab-strip so maybe this is how it is called now.If yes than with the newest update it behavious incorrectly. It should be at the upper side of screen and when i have 100 tabs open and i closed one than this horizontal scroll should be in this same place at the sime place where was closed tab but instead if i closed at the far end of the right side 100-th tab, it moves to the far side on the right and "switching" to 1-st tab visible so if i want to go back to 99-th open tab i have all the time to do scrolling horizontal tab to it and again if i close something there it moves to the far
