This part of our full The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time walkthrough focuses on the Fire Temple. But before you go there, you should take some detours and stock up on collectibles and upgrades first.Kakariko VillageMany of the stores from Hyrule Market have relocated to Kakariko Village.Get the Big QuiverEnter the brick building near the well, which now houses the shooting gallery. The game cost 20 rupees a play, and is the same as it was when you were a kid, except now the targets are in a random order. If you hit all ten, you'll be rewarded with the Big Quiver, which increases the quantity of arrows you can carry to 40.Be sure to visit the Skulltula House if you have collected enough Golden Skull Tokens to earn another reward.Continue to the Death Mountain Trail, which not only has Red Tektites but also dangerous rolling boulders. Use the immobile boulders scattered along the trail to protect yourself from these tumbling threats. If you planted a Magic Bean in front of the entrance to Dodongo's Cavern as a child, you can now use the floating bean platform to collect a Heart Piece. Make your way to Goron City.There is also a Skulltula here, behind a bombable wall, if you haven't already gotten it earlier. Goron CityThe city in its present state stands in stark contrast to its former glory: everyone but a lone Goron rolling around on the floor below is gone. This Goron will only stop to a well-timed bomb explosion, or a direct hit with a Bombchu. The young Goron shares the same name as you and tells you what happened to Darunia and the rest of the Gorons. He gives you the Goron Tunic and opens the door to Darunia's room, as well as the Goron Shop.Gold Skulltula: On the central platform at the top of the city (where the Goron Ruby should be) is a gold skulltula. Use the hookshot to get it (it's on the back side).Giant's KnifeAs a side note, you are able to buy the Giant's Knife from a large Goron hidden in Goron City. To find him, go to the same level where you met Darunia's son, and destroy the multiple cracked walls with bombs or bomb flowers. For 200 rupees he will sell you the powerful, yet poorly crafted, blade, which breaks when you hit something solid. If you're short on cash, it's best to skip this purchase and wait until you can acquire the Biggoron's Sword (or buy it, but don't use it).Head into Darunia's room and pull the statue from its resting position to reveal a hidden passageway that leads right into the smoldering Death Mountain Crater. First order of business at the village is to visit the Archery Game.Remember the building that was under construction as Young Link? It's nowfinished, and the proprietor who ran the Shooting Gallery in Hyrule Market nowruns the Archery Game building here. Enter, and pay 20 Rupees to play. Nowthis is basically the same, except the Rupees to shoot show up in randompositions. This makes it slightly harder, but if you have keen eyesight andcontrol skills, you should still make it. Win it to get the BIG QUIVER. Next, head to Goron City. We're looking for a small Goron rolling around. Once you find him, plant a bomb so that it'll explode as he's running over it. This is harder because he rolls much faster than the "Hot Rodder Goron." Once successful, he'll tell you of his dad. Ask him about this "dragon" and the plight of the Gorons. After you do that, he gives you the GORON TUNIC, a special heat-resistant tunic that'll protect Link against extreme heat. You got this free, as opposed to the highly expensive one in the Goron City Shop.You'll notice that all the doors have opened. Head into Darunia's room.You'll see a rock here. Pull it out and enter through the opening to enter Death Mountain Crater. (Don't forget to wear your Goron Tunic!) Once here,use the Hookshot to get across

To your left, and step on the switch torelease a Goron. Talk to him and he'll leave. Open the chest for a SMALL KEY.Now exit and open the locked door.In this large room, we have another Goron to rescue, but first, head towardsthe left door. Before entering, play the Song of Time outside the hall to movea blue block. Climb up it and go through the door. In this room, stand against a corner with your back facing it, and shield until all the flying floor tiles are gone. (They disintegrate when they hit your shield.) Now, get rid of the Like Like from a distance. (It'll take your shield and Goron Tunic if you don't!) Once it's gone, get the Gold Skulltula and return to the large room. (GOLD SKULLTULAS: 066 out of 100) Head clear over to the other side, bomb the peculiar-looking wall, and head through the door. (You can safely walk on lava for a few seconds with the Goron Tunic on, so don't panic if you fall in.)Inside, step on the switch to release the Goron. Grab the SMALL KEY from thechest behind him once he leaves, then return once again to the large room.Return to where the blue block is, move it again with the Song of Time, andhead through the door. Step on the switch to release this Goron, and grab theSMALL KEY from the chest behind him. Head back to the large room, and use oneof your keys to unlock the locked
