I get an "unsupported device" dialog box come up. It says "The connected device is supported through SmartSwitch, which is faster and more convenient." hmm.. OK, great, thanks. But no mention on what this is or where to find it. So on the Samsung support pages for this model, there is no help. On the KIES support pages there is also no help. So a quick "SmartSwitch" Google search directs me to a Play Store app, which I installed. But this app is only for transferring data and apps from another phone or platform.I understand how to transfer data and media using Windows Explorer but I am wondering, how will I see if my device is up to date and what happened to being able to update over USB instead of OTA?. #2 down and they'll have all the available downloads (mobile app, mac/pc, and then a link for kies). However, for a certain number of new galaxy phones, the app can't detect the device for some reasons. Am a bit new to the Samsung Rooting world as I am an HTC guy. When I launch Odin 3.12.10, I am getting a prompt stating to "Be sure to download the appropriate binary and version for your model".Is this something I need to download and install separately?I am on a Galaxy Tab A (SM-T350) and it seems like every time I go into Download Mode or boot up into my ROM, there are Device Drivers being installed over and over and also some are not installing at all and failing (i.e. "Samsung_Android" and "MSM8960").I have installed the USB drivers over and over again, both separately as .EXEs, and also through SmartSwitch also (I guess KIES is outdated now...). I successfully flashed the Firmware Ver.
