Movies like Scream, Freaky, Happy Death Day, Friday the 13th, Halloween, and Psycho are incredible looks at deep characters and exciting situations. John Carpenter had two films under his belt before he took on Halloween, the sci-fi extended student film Dark Star and the relentless action thriller Assault on Precinct 13.
