The sale of the Toccoa Falls College radio station, WRAF Radio, to a Florida-based non-commercial religious format broadcaster is complete.School officials said that the sale of WRAF Radio and associated properties to Radio Training Network, Inc. of Lakeland, Florida closed last week.Radio Training Network, operators of His Radio 89.3 in Greenville, reportedly paid Toccoa Falls College $2.1 million in cash for WRAF; student-operated WTXR; a Belton, South Carolina station, WEPC; 2 FM repeater stations; and an AM station in Franklin, North Carolina.The new operators are repeating the contemporary Christian music format of their Greenville station, WLFJ, over WRAF and the other stations in what was the Toccoa Falls Radio Network.WRAF dates back to 1980 and the station’s call sign stands for the name of the college’s founder, Richard A. Forrest, and will remain under the new operators.Toccoa Falls College President Dr. Robert Myers said the school wants to thank its loyal WRAF listeners and the community for the support over the last 36 years.Myers called the sale a tremendous step for the college that will enable it to broaden its resources as it works to expand its educational channels.He also said the school is pleased to know that the stations will be in incredible hands, continuing Christian broadcasting and the work Toccoa Falls College began long ago.The Radio Training Network is a not-for profit organization that owns and operates about 100 Christian radio stations throughout the Southeast. -->
