Tensions escalate when Namor attacks Wakanda and kills Queen Ramonda. Characters, including M'Baku, check her aggression, but Shuri argues that her mother's death is worth the never-ending conflict. The Ending Of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Riri Williams has a bright future ahead of her in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. First introduced to the comics in 2016 and played by Dominique Thorne, the young hero is ready to make a big splash with her MCU debut, Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and next year she’ll continue to make waves with her upcoming Disney+ series, Ironheart. There’s a lot of excitement for what the character is bringing to the expansive franchise, and Marvel producer Nate Moore recently explained how her first two stories in the canon are connected. The new character is one of many great elements in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which has been earning rave reviews prior to its release, and I felt compelled to ask about her when I interviewed Nate Moore late last month during the Los Angeles press day for the blockbuster. I specifically asked about how Riri Williams’ development in the film sets up what we’ll see in Ironheart and the coordination between the two productions, and the filmmaker explained that the whole process was very organic:That show is an outgrowth of how much we liked her in this movie, and even on the page. So when we talked with Dominique [Thorne] initially, obviously the character had been written to the script, and she was the one and only person we talked about for the role, and when she said yes and we were down the road with the script, we also started talking to Ryan [Coogler] about what the show could be.It really has to be one hell of a confidence boost for an actor when their character hasn’t even made their big screen debut yet and there are already discussions about having them be the lead of her own series. In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Riri Williams is introduced as a brilliant student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who accidentally finds herself in serious trouble. She develops a device that is able to detect Vibranium, and by doing so she is instantly deemed a serious threat by King Namor (Tenoch Huerta) – the monarch of a secret, Vibranium-rich underwater nation called Talocan. Hoping to potentially forge an alliance with Wakanda, Namor calls on Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett) and Princess Shuri (Letitia Wright) to kidnap Riri and deliver her for execution, but the heroes try to find an alternative solution that doesn’t involve the assassination of a young genius.Very little is officially known about the Ironheart series at this point, but the bigger picture will become much clearer soon thanks to the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Not only does the new movie introduce Riri Williams to audiences, but Nate Moore describes Ironheart as being a “direct sequel” to. With the trailer revealing the famous Marvel character Namor the Sub-Mariner, it feels like Wakanda Forever will still offer plenty of excitement. While T'Challa won't play a significant role, some of Black Panther's greatest allies will likely step up into central roles in this film. 10 Manifold Stopped Revolts In Wakanda A member of Nick Fury's Secret Warriors, Manifold first appeared in Secret Warriors #4 by Brian Michael Bendis, Jonathan Hickman, and Stefano Caselli. Though Manifold was killed in Secret Wars #1 by Jonathan Hickman and Esab Ribic, he was resurrected eight issues later and ended up in Wakanda. Amid a Wakandan revolt, Manifold used his powers to teleport Black Panther to strategic locations in Wakanda. Sign in to your ScreenRant account Warning: This contains SPOILERS for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever! The Sub-Mariner finally joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Phase 4, and here is what could come next for Namor after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. For as much as the sequel revolves around Wakanda and dealing with the loss of T'Challa, another pivotal aspect to the movie is introducing Namor and his underwater city of Talokan. Comic readers have waited decades to see the mutant appear on screen, and it is safe to say that Black Panther 2 did not disappoint. The movie heavily featured Tenoch Huerta Mejía's Namor as the king of Talokan and a powerful antagonist for Wakanda to face. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever gives audiences a chance to understand Namor's perspective on the surface world and the dangers that currently threaten his kingdom. While he is ultimately defeated by Shuri in Black Panther 2's ending, the movie is expected to be the beginning of his MCU story. Marvel Studios has not confirmed any official plans for Tenoch Huerta Mejía's character so far. But, the overwhelmingly positive response to him ensures that Namor will be back. The good news is that there are several upcoming MCU projects where Namor can return after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Namor Could Return In MCU's Fantastic 4 Movie The next time Namor appears in the MCU may very well be in Marvel's Fantastic 4. The movie is scheduled to debut in theaters in early 2025 from WandaVision director Matt Shakman. Plot details are still being protected by Marvel Studios, but Namor and the Fantastic Four have a storied history in the comics that the movie could lean on. Namor has at times been a villain for the Fantastic Four team and an ally. He is also known for having a complicated romantic relationship with Sue Storm, who cheated on Reed Richards once with Namor to make Mr. Fantastic jealous. Namor's potential role in the MCU's Fantastic 4 movie could happen in several ways. Since he has been around for over 500 years in the franchise, the Fantastic

Of T'Challa's Black Panther suit. This slight change to the opening credits format pays respect to Chadwick Boseman and leads beautifully into the funeral scene that immediately follows. T'Challa's death mirrors that of the actor who played him Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures When it was announced that "Wakanda Forever" would not be recasting the role of Black Panther aka King T'Challa, fans began to speculate about how the sequel would deal with Boseman's tragic death. Trailers made it clear that T'Challa dies in the world of the MCU, but the how was kept secret. It turns out, T'Challa passed in much the same way Boseman himself passed: from an illness he kept from the public and shared only with his closest loved ones. There's a mural in the film's funeral scene with Wakandan letters that translate to, "The Panther King Forever Live in Us and Rest." Disney also honored Boseman with a mural. This similarity — how they died and how the world reacted – is entirely too somber to call an Easter egg, but it's still significant and worth discussing. That T'Challa's death mirrors Boseman's death makes the first part of "Wakanda Forever" even more impactful. It also allows Ryan Coogler and the cast and crew to avoid trivializing Boseman's fatal illness by substituting his real tragedy for a possibly cheap-feeling narrativized one. Boseman's family and creative partners, including his widow Simone, were consultants on the film, so the story of T'Challa's death was handled with their seal of approval. That filmmakers chose not to overly fictionalize the end of T'Challa's story helped "Wakanda Forever" to clear what was, without a doubt, its highest hurdle. Shuri's symbolic tattoo Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures One of the recurring themes that run throughout "Wakanda Forever" (and there are several) is the conflict between, on one hand, science and technology, and on the other, belief and tradition. Shuri is squarely on team science and technology, and she wears them quite literally on her hand. Viewers don't have to look that closely to catch the Princess's new tattoo; it's prominently displayed several times throughout the movie. There's a graphic design that resembles rearranging particles. Perhaps it's a visual representation of the chemical makeup of Vibranium or some other scientific breakthrough she's been working toward?Shuri rejects the idea of the supernatural throughout "Wakanda Forever" even after she experiences it via the ancestral plane for herself. She tells her mother that T'Challa didn't touch her shoulder. That was just a figment of her imagination. She gives up on the heart-shaped herb in favor of better weapons and suits. Shuri and M'Baku even reference his accusation in the first "Black Panther" that Wakanda's technological advancements.
