FNAF's Ruin DLC Could Finally Free William Afton Another theme that has a frequent appearance in the Fazbear Frights book series is how animatronics can be haunted by the bad memories, guilt, and agony of its previous spirit. While this hasn’t been explored in the games, William Afton, in one of Security Breach's endings, is using his suffering, bad memories, and twisted intentions to control others through the Glitchtrap virus and haunt the Springtrap suit. These signals could be pointing to time travel becoming an official theme explored in the games, with the DLC protagonist potentially traveling through time using a similar system as the one seen In Into The Pit while trying to help Gregory.
